Call for communications

Oral and poster communications are welcome on all the following themes:

• Colonization of plastics by micro-organisms. Focus on little-studied ecosystems: deep-sea, polar, tropical...
• Occurrence, behavior, transport and transfer of plastics in environmental compartments.
• Identification and behavior of polymers in formulations: inks, paints, anti-fouling coatings, cosmetics, personal care products, etc.
• Plastic waste (bio)degradation processes: mechanisms, products formed and impacts
• Life cycle assessment and eco-design of plastics
• Onehealth, environmental and human health impacts of plastics
• Human and social sciences applied to plastic waste issues
• Metrology of plastics: from nano/macro-particles to macro-waste

As in previous years, a ranking of the best presentations and posters by non-staff members will be compiled. To make it easier to identify these presentations, we suggest tagging them using a symbol available here.

However, to encourage exchanges between participants, we have decided to limit the number of oral presentations to 40. This will lead us to select abstracts more carefully. In addition to scientific quality, which will remain essential, we will also apply the following criteria, giving priority to :
- young people: PhD students, post-docs and new recruits
- original results
- only one presentation per participant, and a limited number of presentations per laboratory.

The recommended language for the meeting is French, but those wishing to do so can write their abstract in English, and give their presentation in English (or in French, but with the slides or poster in English).
